Course Description:

Family Learning – Support Children with their Welsh Language Development

These FL sessions aim to teach parents basic Welsh vocabulary and patterns which are used by their children in school. They will practise through games, activities, songs and crafts, interacting with their children. The sessions will cover vocabulary such as: numbers, colours, time, seasons, items of clothing and parts of the body. They will be able to use greetings and farewells (Bore da, Sut mae, Sut wyt ti), give simple instructions (bod yn dawel, paid siarad) and feedback (Da iawn, Bendigedig).  All these are taught and practised in context – the same way children learn in school – within their routine: amser cinio, amser tacluso, caneuon.
