Volunteering

We would like to thank the many volunteers who work with us in our Training Centre, Revive Charity Shop, JavaBean Cafe, Rompers Day Nursery and Rheola Walled Garden. Our volunteers help us sustain important local services and are a vital part of what we are and what we do.

 

Why volunteer at Glynneath Training Centre?

Volunteering is a great way to learn different skills, broaden your horizons and make new friends …and to put it simply…we need your help to make a difference in our community.

Work Experience and Placements

We work in partnership with local schools and colleges to provide work experience opportunities for young people. Opportunities are available in all areas of our business – IT and office, childcare, catering, horticulture, environmental and retail.

We are also keen to hear from University students and graduates looking for work experience in Leading and Developing Third Sector Organisations/Charities, areas such as business management, teaching & learning strategies, learner support, community regeneration/development approaches, marketing and PR, management information systems, IT systems support, website management, HR and recruitment and more.

Become a Member of Glynneath Training Centre

You can support Glynneath Training Centre by becoming a member. All members pay a £1 life membership fee. Members are regularly updated about our courses and events. Members can also be elected onto our Voluntary Management Committee and help with the development of our services.
