Job Vacancy - Part Time Volunteer Coordinator /Community Growing 

Glynneath Training Centre is a small independent charity and social enterprise. We offer community based services, including. Centre for Learning & Volunteering, Community Information Point, Rompers Nursery, Rheola Walled Garden and Fane Arts Centre.

Working with our community, we create opportunities that can help address impacts of poverty, improve prospects and quality of life.  We work in partnership with colleges, universities and a wide range of helpful services to bring essential resources to our community.

We are currently recruiting for our project:

O Dan yr Awyr – Tyfu a Dysgu/Under the Sky Growing and Learning,

supported by the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund.


This is a partnership project between Glynneath Training Centre and:

Cwmnedd Primary School, Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Cwmnedd, Blaengwrach Primary School, Ynysfach Primary School Resolven, Building Blocks Family Centre Resolven, Rompers Nursery Glynneath, Glynneath & District Allotment Society, National Autistic Society Neath, Neath Port Talbot College Group


Volunteer Coordinator/    Community Growing – Part Time

Salary =  £ 19,721. p.a. (pro rata)

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of supporting volunteers, working with community groups and being part of a busy, hands on environmental project team. He/she will also have skills in horticulture/ community growing and have a general level of education to Level 4 equivalent. This is a part time post (minimum 10 hours per week); the post is fixed term until December 2021
